And to an extent, reworking the entire neutral item timing so Tier 3 and 4 comes online way earlier.
Obligatory yada yada this should've been done WAY earlier, like a year ago or so, but at the very least they did it, thank you mr janitor.
As a working pleb with most of my mates also working, we can only spend 2-3 hours most days to play together, as such we're playing turbo just to let off some steam together. I can honestly say after 2-3 weeks of this change, my turbo games are way more dynamic. Especially the ultra late ones.
I've had lots of 35+ min turbo games before (this is comparable to a 70 min normal game), and usually most of the time it is a bore fest stalemate and rat battle, and we never had access to Tier 5 items (since previously it only came up after like 50 min).
Now with T5 items coming up way earlier at 30 min, I've had like 3-4 35+ min games and all of those swings like crazy, and I like it (I mean, if you HATE game swings, you won't play turbo in the first place lmao), since there are no more stalemate, and if we win, we win, if we lose, we can find next match faster. It's also more fulfilling since T5 are usually introduce some crazy spikes (think Force Boot lvl 30 6-slotted WR with aghs running around the map, Apex DR, big chonker Pudge with Giant's ring and 6k+ HP) and even if we lose, its more fun that way rather than getting slowly choked and ratted in a stalemate (or vice versa, cant push cos they can defend like crazy).
