Why?
1: It's horrifying.
2: It fits with the hero design as a giant spider.
Got the idea from the last patch removing her lifesteal from hitting friendly units. Giving her something like a +50% bonus to lifestealing off of her own spiderlings would be an interesting twist to the hero as her normal voicelines are all about keeping them alive despite their short duration and throwaway nature. Mechanically it adds an additional way to spend spiders and a way to heal while hiding in webs.
