Sometimes you'll be going against a team that has strong early game, and it's possible for them to run over you. Maybe they have a push heavy line-up and can take down towers quickly, and they want to do that as quickly as they can to try to end early, because that is their plan. So if you have Spectre or Naga, and they have an early game push team, you might seem like you're losing early, but if you can hold high ground and your Spectre/Naga continue to farm and split push and get farm, you can still win so DON'T GIVE UP!
Matches aren't just "Pick your heroes and let's see what happens." Your heroes have strengths and weaknesses, and you focus on doing what is needed to win based on that. Communicate with your team, don't just cry, "GG IT'S 10-1" and refuse to play anymore. Buy your carry time, hold the high ground, and keep up defensive wards.
